The University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center Endocrine Oncology Program

"The U-M Cancer Center has one of the few multidisciplinary adrenal cancer treatment programs in the world. Its adrenal cancer program is one of the best in the country, thanks largely to an endowment from former U-M football coach Bo Schembechler, whose wife, Millie, died from adrenal cancer in 1992. The Schembechler endowment is the only endowed professorship and research fund in adrenal cancer in the country."

Adrenal cancer is extremely rare, and research is essential in order to develop effective treatments. Dr. Gary Hammer and the U-M Cancer Center are currently researching the very cancer that took our Lisa from us, and so many other brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers from other families around the world. Learn more about Dr. Gary Hammer and his work at the U of M!

I feel very passionate about the work being done at the U-M Cancer Center, and hope that you will support their mission! Click here to make a donation to the U of M Endocrine Oncology Program

The Spencer Bell Legacy Project:
Spencer Bell was a poet, musician, artist, son, brother and friend to many. He passed away in December of 2006 from Adrenal Cancer, and his family and friends have kept his music and legacy alive through the Spencer Bell Legacy Project.

Please visit the Legacy Project site and learn more about Spencer. Although I never knew Spencer in life, I have come to know his father Bill through our shared commitment to spreading the word about Adrenal Cancer. Just like Lisa, he was a young person take far too soon from a family who loved him.
