The University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center Endocrine Oncology Program
"The U-M Cancer Center has one of the few multidisciplinary adrenal cancer treatment programs in the world. Its adrenal cancer program is one of the best in the country, thanks largely to an endowment from former U-M football coach Bo Schembechler, whose wife, Millie, died from adrenal cancer in 1992. The Schembechler endowment is the only endowed professorship and research fund in adrenal cancer in the country."
Adrenal cancer is extremely rare, and research is essential in order to develop effective treatments. Dr. Gary Hammer and the U-M Cancer Center are currently researching the very cancer that took our Lisa from us, and so many other brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers from other families around the world.
